Cinelli drop 3 apparel: meet Bart and Giulia on a rainy bike ride

Join talented photographer Sofia Blu as she captures friends of Cinelli, Bart and Giulia, for the drop 3 apparel collection, on a rainy bike ride around the city.

Bart and Giulia are creatives based in our bustling home of Milano and we want to share a little about each of them, and their connection to cycling.

Ciao Bart, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I have been living in Milan for 10 years. Initially, I moved here for university, but I was charmed by the city and working as a fashion designer, I never left. This city is not yet fully ready to embrace cyclists, but over time Milan has kind of become welcoming to me.

Which is your favourite item from the Cinelli drop 3 apparel collection?

For its message, probably the “Peace & bike 85” tee.

What is your connection to cycling? And what is your vision of cycling?

After moving from Rimini to Milan, I immediately started riding a fixed-gear bike that I built myself. I quickly realised that weaving through traffic and cars gave me a great adrenaline rush, so I’ve never stopped doing it since then.

Using it as my only means of transportation, I’d say I’m a city cyclist. After meeting my good friend, Dario, and starting with a 90s MTB, we assembled what is now a sort of gravel bike, which allows me to go outdoors.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Ciao! My name is Giulia, I live in Milan, I’m a costume designer and photographer.

Which is your favourite item from the Cinelli drop 3 apparel collection?

I really like the Sadeghi-Ray Kitten football jersey. I like the fancy colours and technical fabric, and it looks great with my purple bike.

What is your connection to cycling? And what is your vision of cycling?

My vision of cycling is a bit negative because lately Milano is not the safest city to ride around, I believe that if everyone used bicycles it would be easier. Anyway, I find it as a way to escape from the daily grind. It’s a means to reconnect myself with sport and during the weekend to connect with nature.
