Wizard Cycling Crew Test Rides

For the month of June, we teamed up with the notorious Milano based gravel collective, Wizard Cycling Crew. 

A lot of people in Milano have a bike just for commuting and many of the road cyclists here are tired of the busy and dangerous roads around the city and want a new escape. These test rides were the perfect chance for anyone without a gravel bike to join in on the fun and they also gave a whole new experience to some well seasoned road cyclists. We wanted to create a fun and welcoming community vibe and connect like-minded individuals to enjoy the thrill of gravel. 

Every week, we kitted riders out with a selection of Cinelli’s finest gravel bikes - they could choose between the Zydeco Electric Mud, King Zydeco, Zydeco Silver Bootleg and the Nemo Gravel. 

Meeting in East Milano, riders tackled the surrounding gravel roads and winding grassy paths for a solid 40 km of surprises. All finished with beers and burgers, of course!

For the final week we took a trip to our iconic HQ, the home of Cinelli and Columbus. While indulging in beers from Brewdog, riders were treated to a tour around the factory, enjoying pieces of cycling history alongside top secret soon to be released products.

For many of the cyclists, it was their first time on a gravel bike, so it was something completely different. Others were on the hunt for an upgrade, so this was the perfect chance to test out some top-tier options.  

Now let’s take a look at each of the models in a bit more detail.

Hand built at our HQ in Milano, the Nemo Gravel was radically re-designed for 2024, it’s the most extreme gravel adventure bike we have ever made.

The King Zydeco - the ultimate go-fast-everywhere bike. With a carbon frame, it’s perfect for competitive gravel riding, endurance racing and fast touring.

The Zydeco Electric Mud is our first ever e-bike, with the same geometry and mould features of the King to guarantee a pure, unadulterated fast gravel feeling. 

The Zydeco Silver Bootleg is a transformation of our iconic do-everything gravel & travel bike into the ultimate riser-bar and rack go-everywhere, anytime, monster commuter.
