Columbus has spent over a century building tubes for people who work with their hands — framebuilders, mechanics, riders who understand what a well-made object should feel like. The Mechanic's Jacket comes from the same place: a genuine workwear silhouette, heavyweight cotton, a full button front, the kind of construction that was never designed to look tough, just to actually hold up.
The graphics take their cue from the Spirit tubing series labels — the same lettering and detailing that's marked our tubesets for decades, reworked here as patches on the jacket itself. A central vent runs down the back, closer to motorcycle gear than anything else in a cycling wardrobe, letting the jacket open up when you're moving instead of restricting you. Underarm gussets are perforated for the same reason: mobility first, breathability built in, not bolted on.
